    COVID-19 has changed the way women are shopping for wigs and when surveyed 40% of women are now shopping for hair online​.​ That's where my beauty tech startup WigNation exists comes in. WigNation is a virtual VR experience try on for women. WigNation centralizes and simplifies the process of finding and purchasing hair online through our personal consulting feature. Our app shortens the lengthy 3 weeks women surveyed spend when purchasing wigs online.

  • Why is the timing right for your idea?

    COVID has rapidly increase the ecommerce market for hair and has killed traditional in store hair purchasing process. Many are looking for a trusted source to help navigate the purchasing jungle of hair.

  • What is your competitive advantage?

  • What will you do with $10,000?

    Starting a tech company can be costly, but I was awarded a $10,000 grant which has allowed me to build the phase I of WigNation. However certain critical features that would enhance user experience are faulty and require me to hire a mobile developer, which I would be able to do with this $10,000 grant. First, the stripe API has not been properly integrated with the app so users experience difficulty when purchasing on the app. Also, when users forget their login information, they have to leave the app and send an e-mail request or create a new account.
